Keyboard Shortcuts | Alchemy Help Center

Alchemy supports keyboard shortcuts across the app to help you move faster. Mac users use ⌘ (Cmd); Windows and Linux users use Ctrl unless noted otherwise.

Tip: Most shortcuts work even when an input field has focus. A handful are intentionally limited (for example, push-to-talk and dice tray actions only fire outside text fields).

Search & Navigation

Journal & Chat

These apply to the journal message input (the resizing text input at the bottom of the chat panel).

These shortcuts apply when a rich text / markdown editor has focus (sheet text blocks, journal entries, descriptions, etc.).

Asset & folder selection

When you have assets or folders selected in a folder view:

Diagnostics & Debug Overlay

These overlay diagnostics on the tactical map. Useful when reporting performance issues to support.

Sheet & Form Inputs

Number fields on character sheets

When a number field on a character sheet is focused:

Notes & Tips

Conflicts in the rich text editor. Inside a focused text editor, ⌘ E / Ctrl + E exits edit mode rather than toggling the camera, and ⌘ Shift + Z / Ctrl + Shift + Z performs Redo rather than toggling Zen Mode. Click outside the editor first if you want the global behavior.
GM-only shortcuts. Ctrl + Shift + S (Sync Streamer Views) only does anything if you are the GM of the current game.
Push-to-talk. Hold \ (backslash) while you have the mic muted to temporarily speak; releasing it re-mutes. Works regardless of which input is focused.
