Circle Creation Basics
Adding The Circle Sheet To A Game
As the GM, the first thing you will do when starting a game of Candela Obscura is create a Circle Sheet for you and your players.
Click the NPC's panel on the top right of the Screen and then click the "+" symbol on the right side of the screen.
Then you'll click the down arrow and click the Create Circle option.
Once you've created the Circle Sheet, you will first, drag it to the top section under the Turn order toggle.
Right click it and select the Share option and toggle the Everyone option to on. Your players will now have access to this sheet at any time as if it were their own.
Creating your game's Circle
Answer Circle Questions: Choose and answer circle questions (you can find the questions or roll them using the Answer Circle Questions Action found under your Tools panel and by clicking the Add Action button) Then ask any further clarifying questions to create your circle's backstory.
The answer to this question and any further Circle Backstory can either be placed in a character sheet's Notes section, or on the Circle Sheet in the Chapter House section.
Name Your Circle: Use a common theme you discovered together during character creation.
For Example - the Circle of Quiet Commons, the Circle of Vim & Vigor, the Circle of Squares.
Choose a Chapter House Location: You may place it in one of the districts of Newfaire or across the many regions of the Fairelands.
For Example - our chapter house is located in the hidden cellar of Old Holt's Farmacy in Auriel, Tottergrass.
Choose Circle Abilities: Select one ability at circle creation. A gold pip represents a selected Ability.
Assign Resource Points: In each resource (Stitch, Refresh, and Train), assign a number of points equal to 1 plus the number of circle members.
In order to change your Resources you'll need to switch to the Mechanics tab and find the corresponding Resource tracker.
The top, vertical, rectangles are represented by the Current Point Value and the bottom squares are represented by the Maximum Value within a Resource's tracker.
All your Resource's Current and Max values should be equal at Circle creation.
The example below shows the Resources of a Circle with 4 members
Navigating the Alchemy UI
Panels
Scenes: To activate any Scene, right click it and choose the Play option
Preview option - Allows you to look at the Scene without forcing your players to transition to that Scene yet

Edit - Allows you to change the options within a Scene
Story: Just like Notes, this panel shows you any Story Notes that have been added to a Scene, but condensed into the corner of the screen so you can still manipulate the UI while looking through Story information. This is where you will find information for Scenes that are used for Pre-Written Assignments
Tools: Where you can add things like trackers for Timers, Enemies, Tags etc. as well as Actions that you would like to have at hand. Useful for random generators
Handouts: Where you will find Handouts to share with the Circle
Journal: Where your Rolls, Actions or any in-game text chat will be shown
Notes: Where you can keep personal notes about the goings-on within your game
Circle: Where you can see who in your Circle is online, offline or is the GM

Adding NPCs/Lightkeepers/Creatures to the Game
Just as you added a Circle above, you will click the "+" symbol under the NPC's panel and add any premade NPCs or create your own from the dropdown at the top of the modal.
