What is the Alchemy Discord Server?

The Alchemy Discord is your one-stop-shop to all things Alchemy. The server is extensive, offering members the ability to interact directly with Alchemy staff, provide feedback on the platform, participate in one of several hobby channels, look for groups to play games, and much more!

Navigating The Server

Below is a brief map of the server, its channels, and what they are for.

Server Channels

This channel is for any announcements the Alchemy staff want to communicate with everyone on the server. These could be notifications related to Kickstarters, new Alchemy Devlogs, news related to some of the awesome Alchemy partners, and more!

This channel enables you to add yourself to additional optional channels (such as the Developers channel for discussion around third-party development related to Alchemy) and set your pronouns in this server; which will provide your server profile with a role displaying your preferred pronouns for all to see.

We love when new people join the server! Feel free to give them a wave and welcome them to the community here!

Like many community Discord servers, Alchemy has a few important rules for everyone to follow so the server remains an enjoyable and safe space for everyone in it. Those rules can be found in this channel and are as follows.

  1. Treat everyone with respect.

  2. No obscene content.

  3. Do not spam.

  4. Rules are subject to common sense.

If you see something against the rules or something that makes you feel unsafe, let staff or mods know. You may also utilize the ModMail bot to send a request to the server moderators. We want this server to be a welcoming space!

Feel free to offer any suggestions on how we can make the Discord server better here!

Alchemy RPG Platform

Whenever new features are added, changed, or fixed within Alchemy, those changes will be broadcasted here.

Keep an eye on this channel for updates on the Alchemy platform's status. Incidents affecting the usability of the platform or updates regarding scheduled maintenance will be communicated in this channel.

News regarding new releases to the Alchemy marketplace are shared here!

This channel enables anyone to raise questions they have with Alchemy, its features, and their experience. Anyone can create a new post and tag it to indicate the type of help they're looking for. Once the post is created, members of the community, moderator team, and even Alchemy staff will chime in to provide resolutions or clarifications around the issue.

If you notice any issues with your experience in Alchemy, we would like to know about it! Please submit a new post on this channel, tag that post appropriately based on the nature of the bug, and our developer team will investigate and log the issue on their side.

Many of the newest features in Alchemy are thanks to all of the suggestions in this channel. Feel free to create a post highlighting ideas you have to make the platform better! This could be feedback regarding the user experience, additional functionality, or even TTRPG systems and content you would like to see supported in the future.

You can also give a thumbs up on existing requests to show your support and let Alchemy staff know this is something you would like to see implemented in the future!

Feel free to deliver any general feedback you have regarding your experience with Alchemy here. Alchemy Staff looks in this channel frequently to absorb player's experiences as they consider future changes to the development roadmap.

Community

The Alchemy Discord server has many community channels for conversations around special interests. While many of these channels are fairly straightforward, a few are highlighted below.

If you're looking to join a new group, or maybe try running a game for players you don't know, this channel can help match players together to fill a table!

This channel is for those not safe for work memes or games stories that you can't share in the main channels. Remember that the code of conduct is still enforced.

The Bluefin Tavern

As a small tavern for visitors and vagabonds alike, the Bluefin Tavern within the world of Aetherra serves as a place for neglecting your troubles and picking up a few new ones. Within Discord, this is a social channel to talk about food, drinks, and just about anything else informally. There is even a voice channel welcome for anyone to join and hangout!

Lore of Aetherra

Lore of Aetherra is an expansive anthology of science-fantasy adventures designed for the Fifth Edition system. The adventures focuses heavily on cinematic storytelling and incorporates unique soundscapes, a tailor-made musical score, and environmental visuals to provide a truly unique RPG experience. These books were designed to be played using Alchemy!

These channels are all purposed for discussing the setting, lore, and adventures all across Aetherra!

Contacting Staff & Moderators

There are two very important roles to look out for in the Alchemy discord server.

Alchemy Staff

Server Moderator

Individuals with the icons above next to their names directly support Alchemy and the Discord server. They are verified and here to support you. If you see something against the rules or something that makes you feel unsafe, let staff or mods know.

You may also utilize the ModMail bot to send a request to the server moderators. This bot is located within the user list on discord and direct messaging it will send your request to all of the server's moderators.

Alchemy Moderators

Please note that moderators are volunteers and not Alchemy staff. If you have an issue with a purchase on Alchemy, please do not ping moderators about it. Instead, wait for Alchemy staff to respond, or email [email protected].
